LAHORE: Rustam-e-Pak-o-Hind Dangal (wrestling) will begin from August 15 in four cities of Punjab.Chairman organizing committee of the Rustam-e-Pak-o-Hind Punjab Dangal Ijaz Gul told at a news conference that this wrestling is being organized for the first time in Pakistan, on directives of the Punjab government so that the traditional wrestling could be enlivened again and the wrestling arenas be revived.In this regard, wrestlers from Indian Punjab will reach Pakistan via Wahga Road on August 12 and they will be brought to Lahore on horse-carts.
Ijaz Gul told that there would be 24 fights in four cities: four at Multan on August 15, four in Bahawalpur on August 17, nine in Gujranwala on August 24 and seven in Lahore on August 26.Wrestlers from Pakistan – Hamid Khan, Acchi Pehlwan and Rustam-e-Pakistan Bashir Bhola Bhala – and renowned wrestlers from India like Nirendar Kumar and Naveen Kumar are participating in these contests.The wrestling for the title of Rustam-e-Pak-o-Hind will be held between Bashir Bhola Bhala and Naveen Kumar in Lahore
