Notification issued to increase electricity prices :

ISLAMABAD: The government has issued a notification to increase prices of electricity by 31 percent, according to Geo News.

The new tariff rates would not be applicable to domestic consumers using 50 units a month. The rate for 50 to 100 units of consumption would rise to Rs 3.93 per unit while those using 300 to 1000 units would pay Rs 8.53 per unit.Last week PEPCO had forwarded the summary to the prime minister for his approval. The new tariff is expected to be applicable for the month of September.
