BEIJING: Moon festival of autumn season was celebrated with traditional enthusiasm in Hong Kong and Beijing on Sunday.In this festival, thousands of colourful lanterns are illuminated and traditional cake for eating is prepared. Because of moon cake, this festival is also called moon festival.This is an important festival of Chinese calendar when farmers celebrate the joy of full moon with their families before harvesting crop.This festival is celebrated on the 15th date of the eighth lunar month of the Chinese calendar and the moon on this date is the most brightest of the whole year.This time, lanterns of various shapes were lit right in the evening at the Victoria Park in Hong Kong due to which atmosphere became very beautiful.
