LAHORE: On admitting debacle in Beijing Olympics Hockey the Chief Coach of Pakistan hockey team Khawaja Zaka Uddin has announced his resignation from the post here on early Tuesday meanwhile Pakistan hockey captain Zeshan Ashraf was very much disappointed with the performance of senior players in the mega event.
On the arrival from Beijing via PIA flight here at Lahore airport on early Tuesday the Chief Coach Khawaja Zaka Uddin regretted with Pakistan Hockey performance and said that he was ashamed as they (players and officials), could not meet the expectations of the nation.“We remained short in scoring and our defence proved weak and the teams in our pool were strong enough therefore I admit our failure and announce my resignation”, he added.
He hoped that new coach could enhance team performance and maintained that the detailed report of failure would be presented to Pakistan Hockey Federation soon.
