
Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Wednesday, PCB Chief Operating Officer Shafqat Naghmi said Akhtar was not included in any team of the event while Islamabad had included him in its team.He said Board was unaware of his inclusion in Islamabad team. According to PCB legal advisor, Tafazul Rizvi, Akhtar could represent Islamabad team only after paying fine of Rs7.0 millions. However, PCB has now planned to seek court’s help in this regard. Meanwhile, PCB had termed the representation of every star player mandatory in the events.
