LONDON: U.S. Foreign Secretary for South Asian affairs Richard Boucher said Thursday that U.S. wants to combat war against terror together with Pakistan as he termed long lasting friendship being dependent on mutual understanding and cooperation.
Talking to journalist in Brussels he justified that U.S. is engaged against suspected Taliban in Pakistani tribal areas bordering Afghanistan to help Pakistan’s army combat against Taliban.He admired the actions being taken by Asif Ali Zardari government to curb war on terror and regretted the loss of innocent lives in US-led coalition forces strikes in Pakistan.
